Default Which Quick Jack Fits The 991.1 the Best….

Not asking about best for weight but the one that fits the jacking points the best.
2015 911 Targa 4s. Just want to know I’m measuring correctly.

I have a 7000 and it works fine for me......weight capacity does not change the design or size. I do have to use the extenders on my CTS4 DD and Avey.

I have the 5000TL and it's perfect for my 991.1.

5000 works well. If 7000 works, go with that since it will work for other cars. I had to get the platform extender to be able to lift my wife’s Volvo XC90.

We have the 7000...works great but we do use small ramps so it'll fit under the car since it's lowered.

I have the 5000SLX and it fits like it was made for the 911. Bigger is better as long as it fits if hoping to use on other vehicles.

I had to get extenders to lift a Honda civic.

I couldnt find one that would fit both my cayman, cayenne and 911. The one that would fit cayenne was too long for the cayman so I chose Twin Busch Scissor jack and 3 yrs later I am very happy with it

a little more money but so many more uses, possibilities and it lifts much much higher

something to consider

Something to note in post #75 on this Quick Jack thread on Rennlist.

I did a weight and balance (comes from my flying days) on my Porsche 993 which is similar to a 991 I am sure. The front to back C of G was 13.4 inches forward of the rear jack point or about where the door handle is.

In the pic below, I would have flipped the Quick Jacks 180 degrees to get the lower pivot point closer to the back wheel.

Although I have a 2-post lift, there are times I am thinking about the Quick Jack as a spare to use outdoors.
Having just done some measurements on my 991.1, your 5000 TL is spot on.

Of course buyers can use Quick Jack Measuring Guide.

The TL is a better fit than the TLX. I guess you can always go for the 7000, but that is overkill and making the lifts heavier to slide in, plus they are 4" fully collapsed compared to 3.5" for the 5000 TL.

I have a quick jack 5000TL. Make sure to use the system in a reverse fashion, since the engine is in the rear. All the weight is back there & otherwise will work perfectly.

Sounds like the 7000 would work for my 911 as well as my Toyota 4Runner.

Do I need the "pinch weld" adapter ? For the 4Runner , do need the "Truck Adapter Kit" ?

Thanks

I have a 7000 that works perfect on my 911. I have the extenders so i can lift my CTS4 and my C8 but my Avalanche does not need them. They didn't offer the "x" version when I purchased mine years ago, you had to buy the extenders.....good lift, I trust it.
