Default How long did your battery last

Going on 6 years my 17 battery is on maintainer from May to October then driven daily and often after that. Wondering how long you got out of yours. Is there a real test to tell how much longer it will last?

the dealer replaced my battery 3 months ago at my request, it was from april 2016 when the car was new, 2017 C2. I also was putting it on a tender, however the first best clue that the battery was starting to lose it was the auto start/stop, which I almost never use, was running about 10 seconds before starting the car again. if you wait much past this your next clue will be when it just won't crank.

I always replaced the battery in my vehicles after five years as I wanted to deal with it on my time versus its time. I replaced the battery after six years on my 2017 C2. I drive ~7K miles a year and just reached 41K today.

I also replace all batteries after 5 years due to our extreme heat in my part of Texas. It can eat batteries up….

My car has the original battery - first registration in June of 2014. I am the second owner and it has now close to 60K miles. Was driven 800 miles in its first three years when I bought it.

My original battery was changed in 2021. My car is a 2012.5 C2S so that would be 9+- years.

Just over 8Y 4M so far with no hint of slowing down. And looking at the date code stamped into the Banner battery post, it is original. But it is a far cry from the 16 years I got out of another battery. And guess what, it was one of those old-tech FLA batteries.

You'll know as it usually slowly degrades. A capacity test and a load test indicates the state of health of your battery now.

Original battery in my '16 GTS which I received in late 2015. The radio has started to do some weird stuff so I'm starting to get paranoid but according to the plug in tester it is still fine

Mine’s a newbie. 2019. I’ve never seen much of a warning. Suddenly it’s have a problem and it’s dead. I have to think these batteries are better than the typical ones we buy at auto zone based on how long they last. Any ideas?

2016 GTS delivered in November 2015 and still has the original battery and is working well. I use a tender and perform a load test every fall.

Mine is going to be 10 years old in October 2023, still checks out ok, I drive half the year, other half in storage on a battery tender. I've had the car 2 yrs now, don't know how the prior owners treated it.

Not saying it isn't but buying it used when it was 8 years old, how do you know it is the original battery without looking at the date code on it and looking at the battery brand.

Mine was going on 9 years when I changed it. It was still starting the car fine but voltage, when running, was low and the car was doing some weird stuff. It was almost always on a maintainer when I was home.
