Anyone running this? Not really looking to make power, but in the E46/E86 BMW ///M s54 world, carbon plenum/intakes have an amazing induction noise. Couldn't find a youtube video unfortunaly.
Induction noise is harder to improve on a Rear engine car, hence why GT4 RS induction sound is a Symphony while the same engine in .1/.2 GT3 is no where near the same
Haha, that's what I have on my E86. Love the noise. I even have have a "sound generator" (yet to install) similar to the 991.1 intake that feeds noise into the cabin. I actually think its the 991.1 diaphram.

my 2 cents
Yea my AFE intake added some sound but it didn’t make a tremendous difference.
I’ll be removing it from car soon and will be selling as I’m going back to stock to sell car.

I have the older Fabspeed carbon “Y” with two AFE cone filters that are exposed and not in an air box, along with the headers, cats, and exhaust. I can definitely say there is some induction noise. I don’t have any vid yet… (forgot the suction cup for the GoPro). Canyon walls with the top down confirm it though. I’d post some vids soon, but I just got the RR-Racing coil over kit installed, and it needs an alignment/corner balance ASAP.
I don't know what to think about carbon fiber intakes - they sure do look nice but the questions around what improvement (if any) are so pervasive on most platforms that I have to wonder if they make any power difference at all on any car. Most people seem to agree there is a difference in sound. And carbon fiber is nice too. I guess that's enough? I'm rolling the dice on Eventuri for my car:
