Default Traded up...

My Silver 06 C2S 6spd (with 57k miles on the odo) has rolled on down the road...

In its place in the garage is a 2014 991 C2 7spd. (with only 11k miles on the odo)

(Early retirement present to myself...)

Congratulations. You won't be disappointed. I also traded from a 2006 to a 2014.

The color was the clincher on the deal for me... it is PTS- Yachting Blue (M5S) over Luxor Beige full leather

My 997 was also a pretty rare spec (Arctic silver over Natural Brown full leather) but the blue just knocked me over when I saw it.

Hah- Looks we went in opposite directions with our silver cars... Love your 14 (especially the Carrera Classic wheels- I'm seriously thinking about grabbing a set of those as a second set for my car).

I really loved my silver 997- It was the first P-Car I ever owned. The tan leather with the silver was pretty polarizing (people either loved it, or hated it) but to me it gave the car a very traditional, European feel.

In fact, the day the truck came to haul mine away, he had to unload this cool (and well done) Speedster replica in order to load my car on the truck, so I snapped these photos

, ,

I really expected to miss my 997... Until I took my first 20+ mile drive in the blue 991... That was all it took, hahaha.

I think "younger me" might have appreciated the more "unadulterated, road-connected sports car" feel of the 997; but "older, retirement age me" really likes having Porsche entry and drive, and heated/ventilated seats, hahahaha I'll gladly trade electric power steering, for an air-conditioned butt (especially in the Arizona summer) the air conditioned seats were also what sold my wife, when I told her I had to go over budget to get the blue car.

I got all my track days out of my system a long time ago. The blue car is going to enjoy long weekend road trips in the Arizona mountains (Coronado Trail, Jerome highway, route 66)...

This Odometer is not going to have 11,000 miles on it for very long.
