I might need some help here if anyone has a 991 C2S in the Virginia Beach VA area or Moyock NC. Approximately a week ago I bought a 991.1 Carrera S manual 7 speed. The car felt sluggish, and I was not sure if this was normal. I’m coming from a much faster car, but I love 911 so I got one. Therefore, today I decided to run some test to see what was going on. I ran the quarter mile 8-10 times throughout the day today before I did a tune. Then again twice after the tune. It still feels slow, and I keep getting 0-60 of 5.8 sec to 5.97 and keep running the quarter mile in 13.68-13.94. I reviewed Porsche spec from the website the car should be running 4.3 second 0-60 for the 7-speed manual Carrera S and even the regular Carrera was 4.6 seconds 0-60. If there is anyone in the Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg area that has a 991 Carrera S that can meet me and give me a ride. I’ll let you drive mine too. I just want to see if there is something wrong with my car. There is no check engine light or weird noises. It seems to run fine except if feels slow for a 400HP car especially now that it has an added X pipe, tune and intake and still feels slow. It should be running 12.0-12.1 seconds for the quarter mile, but it is running 13.7 average. Thank you.
Originally when I tested the car out it ran a 0-60 mph in 5.97 seconds and a quarter mile in 13.94. After spark plugs, BMC air filter and softronic tune the car ran 0-60 5.8 second and quarter mile in 13.68. after I drove it 117 miles on back roads then left it over night the next day it felt stronger. I ran a 0-60 in 5.05 and quarter in 12.88 a full second faster than the night prior.
UPDATE AFTER PORSCHE SHOP SCAN
LMN in Virginia Beach. I had no appointment but they worked me in today to see what their computer said was wrong with my car. They clear all codes and the car is running fine. They stated that the car had one concerning code: code 00A005 Warning Engine Power Reduced. They also stated the code was no longer active and they were able to successfully clear it. Both the shop and I concluded this code was the reason the car was able to run a full second faster over night and the code likely came from the bad spark plugs and the super dirty air filter I replace (pic below). The reason the car didn’t run faster right away and took 117 miles before it ran faster, is because the computer is constantly readjusting to compensate and it took some miles to reset it from the bad plugs and bad filter. I’m very happy that the car is back to normal and the numbers I’m getting now are due to high DA, and temp. As soon as I left the shop, I ran her again and got a 4.9 0-60 in 2300 da and 99F outside air temp. I want to thank everyone who gave me feedback on the car and also those who send me PM with feedback and with offer to letting me drive their cars. I truly appreciate the help. You guys are awesome and I’m happy the car is only a few tenth off from factory numbers now, instead of over a full second slower. It was defiantly in a reduced power mode but it relearn itself after the parts were replaced and she is running correctly now.
First thing is find your boost gauge pressure on your dash. You should be hitting 15-16 psi. scroll through your menus. If you only hitting 5-7 psig there is. your problem. Do you have chrono package? clock on dash, **** on steering wheel? If so make sure you are in sport plus!!. Go do some pulls and report back your boost numbers. I drove a 991.2 base with tune. I came from superformance cobras. With the tune that 911 ripped!!!!
Sorry no boost, I have the 991.1 I couldn't find a 991.2 in red in manual in the entire country, so I bought a 991.1 manual red C2S. But yes, it's got sports chrono and I ran my runs with tc on and off and with sport plus mode on. It's not putting down the numbers it should be, and it feels slow.
If i were you i would bring it in to a local Porsche specialist and have them take a look and drive the car. Do you know the maintenance history on the car. When we’re the plugs done ect. There could be many reasons it’s not putting down the power.

It had the regular oil changes and tires done a couple of times prior to me getting the car. I got it just after 40K miles and I bought everything for the 40k maintenance including plugs and installed it all this weekend right after I got the car. It did not change how the car drives at all. Then today I decided to see if it was just me feeling the car was slow, but it was putting down factory numbers, so I got out the dragy and tested the car. It's not just me. It's way off on the number from factory and I've never been off by this much. My C7Z51 I got 3.8 0-60 consistently just like GM says and after headers and tune 3.6 0-60 consistently. This 991.1 C2S I can't ger anywhere near what Porsche says it will do and it just feels sluggish IDK. It's just running over 1 second slower 0-60 than advertised by Porsche and 1.6 slower quarter mile than advertised. Porsche is not the kind of company to make up numbers so that's why I'm trying to see what's going on.
I just installed the Softronic it changed the throttle response but same times. I got 1 0-60 that was 5.46 so little better but not even close to even OEM numbers of 4.3-4.5 for the C2S 7M
to get that number in a MT you will really have to drop the clutch at a high RPM. i'm not recommending you do this.
i did some tests with the dragy a few years ago. 1181 ft altitude. my best time was 5.23 being fairly gentle and feathering in the clutch.
I’m not at altitude your numbers are closer to oem and your at altitude higher da and higher temp then I am. It was 88F 4 ft and 2000da and I was .6 slower then yours and over a second slower than oem.
No codes, runs well, cranks normally, assume you replaced air filter, new plugs ... not much else can be ... would computer throw code for low fuel flow? Low octane fuel? "Clogged" injectors - run cleaner?

yeah I ran an oil cleaner and a fuel injector cleaner last weekend. Octane is good I only use shell 93 in all my cars to keep the injectors clean just in case. I don’t know if the computer would tell you if there is low fuel flow? I will try to look that up.
