Have you checked your max boost pressure, you might have a diverter valve that is leaking boost. It seems to be fairly common so make sure you are getting maximum boost. Under hard acceleration the dash readout should get to 16-17 psi which is as high as the gauge will go. With a tune you
should be in the low 20s but will need to data log with something like a COBB to see the real numbers.

PREVIOUS RESULTS

Originally when I tested the car out it ran a 0-60 mph in 5.97 seconds and a quarter mile in 13.94. After spark plugs, BMC air filter and softronic tune the car ran 0-60 5.8 second and quarter mile in 13.68. after I drove it 117 miles on back roads then left it over night the next day it felt stronger. I ran a 0-60 in 5.05 and quarter in 12.88 a full second faster than the night prior.

UPDATE AFTER PORSCHE SHOP SCAN

LMN in Virginia Beach. I had no appointment but they worked me in today to see what their computer said was wrong with my car. They clear all codes and the car is running fine. They stated that the car had one concerning code: code 00A005 Warning Engine Power Reduced. They also stated the code was no longer active and they were able to successfully clear it. Both the shop and I concluded this code was the reason the car was able to run a full second faster over night and the code likely came from the bad spark plugs and the super dirty air filter I replace (pic below). The reason the car didn’t run faster right away and took 117 miles before it ran faster, is because the computer is constantly readjusting to compensate and it took some miles to reset it from the bad plugs and bad filter. I’m very happy that the car is back to normal and the numbers I’m getting now are due to high DA, and temp. As soon as I left the shop, I ran her again and got a 4.9 0-60 in 2300 da and 99F outside air temp. I want to thank everyone who gave me feedback on the car and also those who send me PM with feedback and with offer to letting me drive their cars. I truly appreciate the help. You guys are awesome and I’m happy the car is only a few tenth off from factory numbers now, instead of over a full second slower. It was defiantly in a reduced power mode but it relearn itself after the parts were replaced and she is running correctly now.

Happy to hear you got it resolved, I know first hand how frustrating it is when a car isn't running as well as it should.

I know it just ruins your day. Nothing is better than getting running properly again it. Thank God is was something minor like plugs and filter.

It just feels like it’s down 70-80hp it feels like a 300-320hp car instead of a 500hp car
The 3.4 motor sounds very different than the 3.8. If the motor were swapped, it would be easy to tell. Take it to a dealer and ask them to run some diagnostics. Porsche undersells their performance. The cars are always quicker than Porsche quoted times, not slower.

I had a ‘14 S PDK and that was a 3.8 second car. And it felt like it. The only time it felt slow was at altitude.

EDIT: Saw you got it sorted out.

I already got Softronic. It has an fabspeed x pipe. But headers and mufflers are next. I’m debating between fabspeed sport catted headers vs soul street catted headers. I’m leaning towards soul right now. Probably not will pull the trigger soon.

Fascinating thread. I really found it so satisfying to read because the OP trusted his instincts and knowledge, even when things were close but not quite right, and kept digging and digging until he was finally vindicated. Congratulations, Velocitas, for getting the car you were promised . . .

Get a 991.2. Run bottom 11's @ 123-4 with just a good tune and a PDK 93oct
