yeah it’s NA car. I finally talked to a shop near me. They have no appointments for a month. No walk in either. But the mechanic talked to me he said he will try to help me out Monday. I need to talk to the shop manager see if I can get in for just 5 min so the mechanic can plug my car up to their Porsche computer see if something seems off with the car. At least it will be a start. I’m trying to see if I can get on a local dyno

Ah shoot - you're right. It's the 991.2s (early models vs later models that had different designs).

I'm no mechanic but possibly the car has a compression issue?

Be nice if you could find another one same year as yours to drive. Look in local Porsche inventory.

I checked locally, there is only 992 or 991.2 at this time.

Update. I drove the car for 117 miles yesterday make sure the computer learned the new Softronic tune and my driving style, aggressive lol. The car felt a lot better after putting those miles on. Therefore I decided to do 5 runs, 1 with sport+ tc on this was the slowest. 4 runs with sport + tc off launching at 4-4500rpm the 0-60 was 5 sec to 5.1 sec everytime. quarter mile was 12.88 - 13. So the tune definitely woke up the car but still not putting down oem numbers. Is these normal for these cars?

I only ask because I’ve never had a car that didn’t put down the oem claim numbers without cheating ie lowering the air pressures for the tires, lunching at high rpm with a slow clutch release and more. Thanks.

dragy. You have to buy a GPS puck from them and download the app. It’s always been within 1 tenth accuracy for me vs the real strip. It’s accurate for what most of us need it for. The new dragy DRG70 is the one I just got it acquires satellites quickly so it’s good.

Your trap speed is ok, I think it’s just launch/shifting vs PDK

now that you've got it down to this number i think it's safe to say there is nothing wrong with the car.

these things are made to give you better and better lap times around the nordschleife not 0-60 times, after all.

cheers.

I wouldn’t be tuning a sick car if I were you. The 991.1S is a very quick car in standard trim, so if it’s anything less than the figures Porsche quoted you should hand it back to where you bought it and let them fix it.

First thought with it being a manual and the absence of codes, is whether someone has cooked the clutch. If the performance is that bad you should really have noticed that on a test drive. Did you buy the first car you tried?

Yes, I bought it from a private seller not a dealer. I was looking for a 991.2 T red for weeks couldn’t find one so I bought this 991.1S manual. The day after I bought it a guy whom I called 2 months ago pm me back to sell me his red 991.2T but it was too late. I can’t exactly give it back make the guy take it lol. That’s why I’m getting with someone to try their car have them try mine here locally see if at the same temperature and da his car drives like mine or if there is indeed something wrong with mine. I’m also waiting on the local shop to plug her in and see if their fancy computer finds something off that a regular obd can’t. Yes, I test drove the car it drives fine just feels anemic when launched. I came from a much faster car so I’m making sure it’s not just me that’s why I confirmed the numbers with dragy and they are off. After new intake new plugs tune and letting the car recalibrate over 100 miles it is faster and you can feel it. But still putting down 5 seconds instead of 4.3-4.5 like advertised for the manual Carrera S. unless Porsche lied or it’s just the temperature and da locally affecting the car and the original tests were done in the winter in California, who knows. Clutch doesn’t seem to be slipping and she goes into gears smoothly even when heel toe at high rpm or doing launches.

yes, numbers are down but still .5 seconds slower than advertised to 0-60 and .7 slower I’m the quarter. I’m hoping that’s could just be due to the temperatures and da locally. Once I drive someone else’s locally and have them drive mine it will become apparent if it’s just the DA and temperature affecting the car or if it’s something else. I’m still waiting on the shop so hopefully next week they can get me in to see the car.
