The Big Hundred Thousand!
Oh no! Odometer went to six digits today. Mind you it's in kilometers, so not so bad I guess (62,137 miles). I was actually on my way to the dealership for the 12 year PDK service. Mine was one of the first 991's off the line. After the service, I thought the transmissions shifted smoother. Not that it was harsh before, but it seemed....better. Tried to convince my wife that we needed that new GT4RS they had in the showroom, but she didn't go for it. Just as well, I love my car.

Track Day
Yes, a painful moment. The value instantly drops with 50%. Might even be that the sides fall off and you end up sitting on the tarmac with both doors falling to the side and hearing the last sign of life from your engine while it dies behind you. Wheels disconnected and disappearing in the distance.
Yes, a painful moment...

Congrats and a happy 100,000 more to come. Your PDK shifts better because they reset the “learned” shifts.

Interesting how those with higher end cars get a lot of anxiety over the odometer. We take meticulous care of our cars but think the car’s going to break due to the 100k.
Then I hop in my 175k mile Honda, run ‘er hard and put away wet with no cares given.

97,000 miles on my 2014 911/50th Anniversary. Will hit 100K miles in the next month or two.
It's driven all over Europe and the USA. So much fun!
Our 1988 911 has over 170K miles, 2008 Cayman over 110K miles, and 2019 Macan approaching 75K miles. The 2002 Yukon is over 240K miles. We love to drive and keep our vehicles for the long-term.

Nice to see well-used vehicles.

As someone who runs a fleet of trucks, I wholeheartedly believe the notion that the more regularly machines get used, the less problems they have. Routine maintenance is key (not excessive over-maintenance, just regularly serviced). Less warmup cycles make a huge difference.
