Hello

I’ve been trying to get some info/reviews on Racing Dynamics headers and cannot find anything. Anyone have any experience with that brand. I have a 2016 C2 manual and would like to install high-flow catted headers.
Thanx in advance…

Jamey

I don’t have a 991, but I recently purchased a set of racing dynamics link pipes for my 718 GT4. Those link pipes are identical to a set offered by flat 6 motorsports. I believe they come from the same factory.

I say this because it seems to me that racing dynamics sources their parts from some overseas catalog. If accurate, this is not necessarily a bad thing. I’m perfectly happy with my link pipes (albeit I’ve only driven a few miles on them).

I think they have a bigger presence in the BMW world.

Thnx, you’re correct. The only info I found was at the BMW forums. I also read that RD was originally an Italian company that was later bought by an American company. Both companies kept producing parts for different markets. I just haven’t been able to find anything from Porsche owners up until you shared your experience.
Thnx

Back in the day (early/mid 80's) Racing Dynamics had an excellent reputation among BMW owners. To the best of my knowledge, they went through several management "realignments" in the late '80's and early 'aughts (2000+) and sort of dropped off the radar. I haven't heard much about them recently, although I haven't owned a BMW since 2014.

BTW, if you haven't already done so, check out Vektor, Soul or Fabspeed.

I would recommend SOUL. I have a set of header (200 cell cats) and the valved exhaust and you can not go wrong! Best sounding exhaust you can buy!

Back in the day, RD made some gorgeous deep-dish BMW wheels. I believe it was then an Italian company. I heard they went BK. Not surprised as I think I bent 3 of 4 wheel flanges.
