Default Bye 911 for now :(

After 8 years of owning a 991.1 and a 991.2 I sadly left the Porsche world and moved to Land Rover. Y’a. I always loved the boxy Range Rover and I finally did it. Quite frankly I would have loved to keep the 911 but I just can’t have two cars. I only have a parking spot (condo life) and my conscious would NOT allow me to have two cars (I only drive 4K miles a year).

i do miss my 911 and keep coming back to this forum. one day we will reunite again. When I do come back, I will more likely get a NA one. The 991.2 was lacking soul with the TT but the inside is what made me jump from .1 to .2.

(btw I joined Range Rover forum and they suck compared to this platform. You guys are amazing)

ps. Every time I drive by a 911 I catch myself wanting to wave …

Thanks for the advice. That’s the sense I got from the RR forums.

I’ve owned Land Rovers for so many years. They’re not as bad as people assume them to be, without hands on experience. They’re awesome vehicles and I have yet to have any major issues or be stranded. Yes, they’re definitely quirky. But most compliments come from owners who previously had Japanese or more commonplace vehicles and have very different perspectives of expectations. You’re either a Land Rover person or you’re not. Those who are have owned into the brand for decades. I absolutely love them and my recent rig is a Defender and it’s without a doubt a real gem.

well okay then. wow, what a twist. from a proper sports car to a hulking box. I have a friend who only drives cadillac SUVs. luxury and comfort are most important to him, but way too big for me. I don't climb up into vehicles, I climb down. hopefully you get the use out of it that was missing with the 911. it's certainly more versatile. this reminds me of times that I see the odd person in town driving a maserati SUV. big bucks for a luxury box.

I know. A huge difference. I told myself I enjoyed the 911 for a few years now it’s time to enjoy something else. I know for sure I do want another 911 in the future. Until then I will keep lurking in this forum.
