Help- Driver Mirror Base replacement, wiring harness
Anyone have any experience replacing the driver door mirror base?
Like an idiot I thought the mirror swiveled both up and down, found out the hard way that it only swivels one direction and I snapped the spring loaded portion of the base off. I have the base "disconnected" from the door, and the mirror housing removed, but I can't figure out how to remove the base from the door since the wiring harness feeds through the cast metal
I am trying to understand if the wiring harness that feeds through the middle of the mirror base need to be disassembled at the connector so it will fit through the hole on the base. The square connector inside the mirror housing is too large to fit through the mirror base .
