I think he is asking if you will install the kit for him.

I bought a high mileage 2013 C4S manual specifically for the Deman engine. I was trying to get an allocation for a GT4, but the cost for a slot and the ADM were just ridiculous. In the end I was honest with myself with what I wanted, and that was the GT engine and all its eargasmicness. So, all in I’ll probably spend a little over $100k and get a sleeper that’s way better as a daily and cost way less. Yeah, I may not get the money back if I sell it, which I don’t plan on ever doing. You can’t get near a used 718 GT4 even for less than $120k, so I think it’s a good deal.

I am in the exact same situation and bought my 13 c2s Pdk recently with the Powerkit to get the Deman engine done. I also was looking at 718s before deciding on this route.

You may not get all the money back but my thinking is there is a pretty strong demand for these DeMan built Porsches and with their proven track record it can only help increase the overall value of an older / higher mile model especially. If I could have found one I would have bought one that was already built by Deman.

An interesting discussion - however, it makes no sense to me - unless tracking the car, or having issues with those same components bring replaced?

Why not both?

@DeMan Motorsport and @RRRacing should collaborate on a supercharged, stroker motor.

Low compression, 4 liters, N/A power curve and throttle response. 600hp at the wheels on pump gas?

We've made over 600 to the wheels on a completely stock car with a $15k bolt on S/C kit. 93 pump gas

with methanol…

Nobody wants a car they have to check the methanol tank, or remember to add octane booster. That’s a compromise people make to get more power.

It's actually just 50/50 water/methanol and it's just used for an added measure of cooling. Frankly, it's not needed. We can do it without it and maybe sacrifice 10-15 whp tops (maybe none). The tank for it is HUGE and it only sprays under high RPM and peak boost. This means it will last a long time unless you're on the track. Then you will need to fill it more frequently.

I was trying to see if you do the installations of these kits too, or just manufacture them? Or do you have a list of places who have done them and can provide a solid quote for all in package.

That's a good question. Most of the time we transport the cars into our shop if they're long distance. Independent Porsche shops typically have very high hourly rates. Our fixed price to install the supercharger is very reasonable so even with transport it comes in lower than many of the independent quotes people receive. But yes, we do a large amount of the installs here in the shop. If you shoot me an email address i'd be glad to give you a quote any time.

Hi Rick, Could the 4.5L conversion be done to the 4.0L GTS boxster? if so, how close does it compare to a GT4 engine.
thanks

Yes, all the 4.0L engines are eligible. Since it's mechanically the exact same engine the end results are the same.

Hey Rick,
  1. Is redline effected?
  2. How much choice is there in headers? If someone wanted to keep existing aftermarket headers, could they? Or do you only put on specific headers?

Redline is the same

We could build and use your existing headers, dyno results would help you decide if you want to sell yours and get the ones we produce or keep yours.
