Non Ethanol Fuel
I'm about to take delivery of a 2012 Carrera S 991.1, and I found a Top Tier gas station that sells Non-Ethanol fuel.
Will this model/year run better on Non-Ethanol fuel, of is it made for E10 fuel?
Anyone know?
Thanks!

As the owner's manual will tell you, it will do fine with E10. However, I've always found my 981S runs a little smoother on ethanol-free, particularly in the 2000-3000 RPM region where the engines aren't at their best to begin with. YMMV but I would try both and see what you think.

I found this Porsche Club of America video extremely informative with regards to fuel in a 911:

Thanks for the info, as I don't even have the car yet to look at the Owners manual, so the info is good to know.
As for the Video, I'm asking this because of a video I saw with Charles Navarro and Lake Speed, with regards to Oil, Fuel and Oil Analysis...during a Tech Talk, very good info.
I just want to get off on the right foot (I don't mean smashing the pedal either...LOL) with this car. It's going to be a mostly daily driver...at least 3x a week for 60 miles.
I didn't even know about resetting the Oil maintenance message...now I need to purchase another tool...shucks!

Ethanol free is closer to like a 90 octane rating; would rather use a standard 10% rated at 93 octane from top tier.
Ethanol issues dont apply to modern cars. Just get go to top tier stations and you're fine.

My concern with the 10% Ethanol, is the moisture it collects, and as the fuel runs down in the tank, it leaves more room for moisture to collect, which could than affect the injectors down the road.
I'd rather add some fuel additive other than ethanol to up the octane if needed, hence my question if 90 octane is sufficient for these motors.
I guess I could also add some Stabilizer in the tank at fill up.
So I take it no one has run Non-Ethanol in their car yet?
Maybe I'm over analyzing the whole fuel thing, put fuel in it and drive the darn thing...

I alternate between Top Tier 93 with ethanol and ethanol-free 91 when I'm at home and not driving a lot of miles. When I'm on the road, 93 with ethanol is typically what's easiest to find.

Would it be better to just leave the water in the gas tank? I can't remember if we have a plastic or metal gas tank, but in either case I'd sooner have the ethanol absorb the water instead of leaving a pool of water in the tank.
At the end of a flying day, we would all top up the fuel tanks to prevent condensation which occurs in partially empty fuel tanks during the night.

So, not only do you get better gas, but you also have the best brats and cheese curds on the planet. :-)

10% ethanol won't give you any problems with moisture in the gas tank, there is just not enough ethanol in it to turn to water in any substantial volume. If you were running full E85 you wouldn't want to let it sit for winter with a tank full of it but the tiny bit in top tier gas won't hurt your gas tank. I guarantee you the previous owner/s ran 93 with 10% ethanol just because it's about impossible to find true 93 octane non-ethanol gas. Go enjoy the car and don't worry about it...

Thank you for all the suggestions/advice, it's much appreciated!
I just do as 1CEBITN said, and just enjoy the car...if all goes well, it'll be here tomorrow at this time!
