Another "look at my rear emblem" thread

Yours doesn't look bad, but it is different than mine. Just depends how much it will bother you. Nobody else will notice it.

Here you go. Using your photo, now on correct horizontal. Notice where the new alignment guides cross the license plate recess. There is slightly too much space between the P and the O. Sorry to point this out as it can drive one crazy making it prefect.

Whoa!!!!
That's crazy. I honestly never noticed until a couple of you gents called it out, and just a moment ago my buddy noticed it as well.
Thanks for mocking up that image - helps a ton. No need to apologize - it is what it is, and I'm going to fix it.
When I head out to get groceries I'll measure and report back to you guys.

This would really bother me! Everything is off. The Porsche lettering is too high and does not follow the contour of the spoiler. The P is too low and far away as previously mentioned. The S is too high. I would definitely have it re done with the template.

There was an owner before him as well but I don't have their contact info, so it's possible it was messed with by them. Notably though, they only put 2k miles on the vehicle while they owned it, so not sure how much interest they would have had in monkeying with the emblem.
I have an appointment Monday to fix the "911" and the "S". I never noticed the "P O R S C H E" before, so I'm going to leave that alone for now. I do acknowledge everyone else's observations.
I'll post before and after pics for everyone afterwards.

I just went thru this on my 991.2T. I ended up buying the template from Suncoast parts and then putting new 3M VHB tape on the back of the emblems. Here is the tape that I used. It's the thinner version so it sits flush with the bumper: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124899111726

It's not too hard to do. I had the emblems painted on a previous car and scraped all the old tape off (carefully!) and used new tape.
I just sat down at the counter and used an X-acto knife and cutting board, slowly.

Love butt pics. Based on mine, the right and left on yours has excessive space.

Update. Went back to the shop and adjusted the 911 and S as previously outlined: brought the 911 to the right, lowered a hair; S to the left, lowered a hair.
To the scrutinizing eye, you can see the entire 911 Carrera S line is a smidge to the left of center, using the license plate as reference.
Short of re-doing the P O R S C H E emblem (still no idea what happened there) this is good enough for me.
Eventually I'll take it to a proper Porsche dealer to redo the whole thing. Not anytime soon.
Thanks all for the input.
