Where do you guys do your searches? I signed up for Cargurus and Autotrader.

It looks like the car prices are still pretty high compared to 2019/2020. Would you wait until 2024?

When you get to the point where you can count your remaining summers on your fingers and toes, you will look at time differently.

Life is a finite experience and if the pandemic taught us anything, a lot can happen in a year.

Check out fourwheel trader on YouTube for market analysis.

+1 for autotempest - it searches several of the more popular sites.

Also, as many will tell you, just buy one now and start smiling immediately. I bought mine at the peak of Covid pricing and have no regrets. I've got 2 years of seat time vs. waiting to save a few bucks.

I just paid 10k over MSRP for a 2019 T. 11,500 miles, clean, and well spec. And it was the cheapest for sale in Canada from what i could tell. IVe made out like a bandit for the apst 3 years buying and selling cars, so it didn't bother me. I specifically want a 991.2 T, so is what it is

Wait till 2026. We should be at war with China, prices will drop...... The rest of us will continue to pay a little more for our 911's but in return we will continue to make outsized gains in the market......

I don’t think prices are crazy for what you’re interested in. Just need to decide on budget, options, etc. A nice spec should pop up.

I follow what CarMax list for the 991 cars. Inventory still scarce but looks like prices have gone down

Thank you so much! I get annoyed that so many people classify a car with PDK as manual.

It all depends on your timeframe: if you don't mind waiting 1-3 years, then prices will probably go down, but in the meantime, you're not driving a 911. At the same time, if you can't afford a 20-30% loss on a 911, then buy a Honda, where you'll get a 50-75% loss, but Honda's 50% loss will be much less than Porsche's 20% loss.

With inflation tracking the way it is along with EVs becoming a bigger and more significant part of the market, prices aren’t coming down in any significant sense. If you wait, these things will just get more expensive.

A 46k mile 996 Carrera just went for $65k on Bring a Trailer. This is where we are.

The price increases on new 992s and limited availability will continue to put some upward pressure on 991 values. I bought my CPO 2018 7MT 991.2 Targa 4 with the likelihood that I will not lose a dollar on the thing.

If you want one of these cars, I wouldn’t wait.

I think any manual especially the N/A cars are a nice buy and hold.

Essentially all enthusiast M/T cars will hold and possibly increase value as fewer and fewer of these are being made.
