Default fuel injector cleaner?

Anyone use fuel injector cleaner in their late model P car? I have some left I was using on an older model vehicle I no longer own and curious if I should use it or recycle it?

if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

direct injection systems have, at least in my experience, not required such solvents. a good detergent package in your gasoline (read: any top tier certified station) tends to be more than enough for injector maintenance.

PCA Tech Tactics (with guest speakers who know the most) covered this in-depth in February -- unfortunately, the YouTube video for that session is for some reason unavailable currently. It was very informative and covered additives -- and contrary to some advice -- a good additive is very much recommended if one intends to keep their DFI engine for a very long time. Perhaps keep an eye out for the video of the session. It was entitled: "How to keep your Porsche engine running right: oils, fuel, and oil analysis".

No harm in using it. I would suggest using it rather than recycling. I don't think that can be recycled for free anyway. It would be treated as hazardous waste and a disposal fee would be charged, most likely. Put it in your tank!

Thanks for all the replies and especially the video. I verified my FIC has polyether mine (PEA) and will put it to good use. CA fuel is probably the most in need of this additive!
