Default 991.1 C2S to 991.2 (4/4S rear) conversion

Hi guys,

a few weeks ago I bought a 2012 991.1 C2S.
I’m going to do the 991.2 rear conversion because I simply prefer the look of the 3d tail lights. I already got a few parts, maybe I was going to fast by already ordering the 4/4S light bar as well.
I know that I definitely will need the widebody bumper but is the 991.2 lightbar going to work if i connect it to the license plate lighting?
I’ve read many threads and there have been many informations about different issues/problems (5v/12v, wiring of the narrow body doesn’t support, etc.) but I’m quite confused tbh.

Is there somebody that actually has done already what I’m thinking of?

thank you in advance and here’s a picture of my new beauty ☺️

The 991.2 lightbar is 12v-kit will work if you tap into the License plate lamps.

I was hoping for your response. So I need some kind of 5v to 12v boost converter?

Not at all. You just need the plug and to tap that plug into the license plate lamps as they are 12v. Your car doesn’t have a 5v source as it didn’t come with the light bar.
