Does anyone else experience slight movement of their seat when driving?. I get the sensation the back part of my seat moves minutely at times. Rare but it occurs, usually when first driving. I

i have felt this sometimes in my 991.1 14 ways. when i step on the brake hard i feel as though when the momentum stops and the car comes to a halt, the seat moves with it. i tried to have it looked at to no avail. it also comes and goes and i have not felt it in some time

do you have 14 ways?

Yes I have the 14 way also!! Again it is random.

it's strange and perhaps i have gotten used to it and i have to really assess if it comes back, i was thinking it may have to do with the weather, with stuff shrinking and expanding in the cold/heat. but for me it's a very slight rock forward. my indie said there was no way he was looking at it as he thinks seats are among the most complex things in the car!

I drove a 991.1 for two years/20,000+ miles with 14 ways; no seat movement. Same experience with my 991.2 for five months/5000+ miles with 14 ways; no seat movement. I suspect something may not be right in your seat.

My BMW did that. There is a long worm gear that is spun moving the seats forward and back (in that car). I had to replace it. I can’t imagine this design being much different.

I need to narrow down the movement before turning over to the dealer. First thing is determine if its the seat bottom or seat back. I beginning to believe it's the seat back. Once I identify which one and can make it repeatable off to CPO warranty.

First steps would be to re torque main bolts to floor.
Check seat back adjustment mechanism for play, it there is noticeable play remove-reinstall seat back to original torque specs.

I agree I need to do more due diligence. I check fasteners, wiggle it around.

I have this annoying seat movement on the 18 way seats 💺…
my dealer said there is no “failure” so cpo cannot be applied and the issue is normal wear and tear

I’ve experienced the same issue (2017 C4) and also thought perhaps it was temperature-related but it just happened again (Feb 2023 in the cold) when I first noticed it in June 2022 in much warmer weather. I’ll be following this thread for sure. Thx!

I removed my seat to mitigate the seat switch noise so I know the bottom fasteners are tight. I pretty sure mine is the back or reclining portion. I will investigate further this weekend. It definitely there, at least every other drive I will feel the movement and then not again.

I'm intrigues by this. I can't say that I have experienced this but I don't know if I understand exactly what movement is being described here.
