Default Heat/Heated Seats Not Working in .1 4S

I have a 2014 4S. The heated seat button flashes on and then turns off immediately. The heat will blow cold air whether it’s 35° or 55° unless the temperature is set to 73°. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a thermostat issue? Could the seat problem be a result of the battery? AC worked fine over the summer

My guess? A Change Over Valve is starting to fail…

The heated seats are not liquid based.
Likely broken element in seat base because someone kneeled on the seat.
Check fuse and wiring to seat.

I second this. The COVs tend to go bad with time. When I lost heat in my car this was the culprit.

Thought the ventilated seats only blow cool air. The seat warmer is just an electric heat element like a heating pad.

Two separate issues.

HVAC heat is a coolant issue - COV is likely.

The on-then-off is usually a fuse issue with the seat in question. Sometimes the connector under the seat, visible from the rear of the seat, cracks or gets unplugged. Most of the time it's the fuse. Most of the time people check the wrong fuse, too. Each seat has its own fuse, check the kick panel fuse box on the appropriate side for blown fuses.

@JimEb This is incorrect. Porsche seats are ventilated seats - not actively cooled. They do not blow air out of the seat, they pull air in and through the seat cushion. So a sucking action as opposed to blowing...
