White 911

White 911
Hi, I have a great chance to pull the trigger on a 2019 GTS 911 in white. However, I am 60years old and never had a white car….I always thought it was more of a woman’s color. I am not a male chauvinist at all, however, whenever I see I white Porsche drive by, I think a woman will be driving it. Please , if any of the forum members that have a white Porsche, any type, will be kind enough to share your thoughts on a white color. Either positive or negative, I would love to hear peoples views. I understand, everyone is different, but I am on the border if white is a feminine color( as is my daughter thinks it is) Thank you very much in advance for you input!

i settled for white on my spyder and i love it. i say “settled” because i’m infatuated with many other colors, but white is the right long-term choice for me. but i’ve got 3 boxsters…so i like chick cars…so don’t listen to me! white is the fastest. and i continue to think that i’m going to personalize the car with riviera blue wheels or try a ‘98 911 GT1 racing livery (plastidip!). i’ve never heard of anyone thinking that white was feminine…but whatever.
as many will say, it only matters what you think! if you don’t love it, pass.

A white 911 is definitely very man.
It’s a classic color for the 911.
It’s also the nicest GTS color IMHO. That was all I was seeking when I was hunting for a 991.1 GTS.
Anyway… you sound convinced it’s not the color for you.

No, I understand why white is so popular. I have been driving cars for years and never had white, so that why it is hard for me to see myself driving white. That is why I am reaching out,to hopefully hear fro the Porsche owners that have white as there color, and do not regret it.

Not a Porsche, but in my earlier cars days when I was shopping 300ZX TTs I was wanting black or red, but came across such a pristine white car I couldn’t pass it up. Similarly, I never thought I’d never own white, but the color really grew on me. For one, it is so practical. Doesn’t get super hot, and paint blemishes just seemed to disappear with a little Klasse AOI. And definitely badass as well, especially with darkened windows/contrasting wheels and a black interior. Hell even all the baby blue colored Porsches are badass. The one downside is that white is the easiest color for LEOs to spot flying down the freeway.

It's 100% a masculine color, with that being said.... toss a bottle of beard oil, bottle of whiskey, maybe a hunting knife for good measure in the frunk and that'll for sure man it up!
Get the car, have a good time, drive it with a smile.... promise you everyone will say 'mama there goes that man'

This is my first white car. I didn't know there was a gender stereotype associated with the color...
A white GTS with black accents (I wasn't a fan of black wheels before now) also look great IMO. I couldn't be happier, even if you did mistake me for a woman!

I swore I would never got a white car as everyone seemed to have a white Toyota when I was growing up. But then I found a Macan S in white at a ridiculously good price. Which prepared me for my 911 S...also in white (grey was my first choice but not available at the time). I love it. It looks especially good with the Satin wheels that came with the car. Any accents like wheels, even badges, stands out really well on the white body. But it is a dirt magnet!

Yup! My concerns were more towards it being a boring color or a sunny state color. So, I went searching for inspiration. In the end, I embraced it because of how slick and fast it looked. Cup cars come from the factory in white. The “Storm Trooper” look is one of the most intimidating looks. A few proper stickers, or simply black fender guards, like my car in the last two pictures, and the car will look awesome!

Carrara White is one of Porsche's classic colors they're known for. It was the "lightest paint" color. My last 6 cars have been white, including all the Porsches.
My inspiration:
Like others have said- White hides imperfections really well, and gives a clean/sleek look in a sports car that is hard to get with just a color. Wife even picked white for her Macan Turbo a few years ago.
