Turbo upgrade
What’s up guys?!
Please excuse the ignorance. New to the Porsche scene
Thinking of going with pure turbo upgrade on my 991.2 4S.
Currently running a custom cobb tune and down pipes.
I’ll reach out to manufacturers but was also hoping to get some hands on, from experience input.
Everyone is talking about slapping turbos on and possibly some intercoolers but what about fuel? At what point will these cars run out of fuel? What size injectors? Do I need a pump or 2?
What kind of boost controller do people lean toward?
I have the 7 speed manual so is there need for a better clutch?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

the fuel system no need to change pump or injectors for that kind of power on 93- 94oct pump +METH But if you go Efuel you will max out fuel system around 650-700hp safely
If you go that route you need better i/c ,intake piping, test pipe, headers, and à protuner like Todd from protomotive or M-Engineering
Good luck

Thanks blackcheetah. I'm really only looking to get 100hp as reliable as possible as this is my daily and my commute is 100 miles round trip daily. Thanks again.

A tune will likely get you 80-100hp easy, depending on fuel. No need for turbos unless you want 150-200+hp. Just look at various tuners websites (APR, Softronic, etc.), most have dyno graphs of the various trim (base/S/GTS) so you can see the hp with the different size factory turbos, some have dyno with hybrid turbos or the other custom setups. Just keep in mind power comparisons between different dyno setups on different days is iffy at best, really best to consider dyno a tuning tool and then look at stuff like 60-120mph times for real world performance gains that are less affected by driver ability.

If you want something fast and easy to do get the APR stage 3 GTS turbo's reliable and not to hard on the clutch and a huge step from stock ,bin there ... you can also get the GTS and go with a protuner you will be faster...

Dude..... a tune and pipes on that car will give you all you need for street driving. Chasing all that Turbo nonsense is just throwing stupid $$ that you'll never recoup and potentially messing with a significantly reliable platform.
