Is it a scratch or a gouge/cut? The photo looks like it has cut through the fibers. If so, it will get worse and worse and quite unsightly, though it won't leak because there is a waterproof membrane underneath. I would want a replacement. If the fibers are not cut, then it is cosmetic and is just one of many minor cosmetic creases, folds, etc that appear on these tops over time.
