Default Carbon Lighted Door Sill Works a Third of the Time

Hey everyone. I have a 991.1 that has the carbon lighted door sill. I am a bit perplexed by an issue in that it only works about a third of the time and it seems like it is completely random as I will open the door at times and it will be working, then close the door and open it back up to have it not work. I can then come back out several minutes later, the car not having moved at all and then it working. It's super weird. Obviously there is some kind of issue with the wiring, but has anyone run into this issue before? Where should I start going into things first?

Pop it out and see if anything is obviously loose. Un plug, plug back in. Just staring at it won’t figure a thing out.

then as above, pull the trim, reseat the connections. check the wiring at both ends to make sure it isn't frayed or pulling out.

I had one of the powerpacks die on mine a long time ago.

The light actually started to flicker.

It was under CPO so I'm not sure what was replaced to fix.

I’m wondering if this is what I am dealing with because at times it does start flicker if I leave the door open for a minute or so when it is working.
