Default Ramps for flooding??

My 991 spends hurricane season in SW Florida. Looks like we dodged the flooding from Irma but it got me thinking perhaps some oil change ramps might be the difference between wet tires and engine damage. What would you do about this. Building a lift is not an option.

I'm in SW FL too. My 991.2 is in the garage, so if it floods in there, I have bigger issues.. lol

Ramps are not a bad idea. Maybe a set of quickjacks. 🤔

not a bad idea if exiting the area isn't an option.

Or find a public parking garage to park it…….last in first out.

I would definitely use ramps or the parking garage

a good set of jack stands and a hydraulic jack would also work to give you a lift.. then you could even use them outside if need be..
level ground is of course required.

Yeah Im not usually down there till sometime in October so parking garage is not an option, not sure if there was one I could get in anyway. Does anyone have an example of what they would deploy in this situation

Good luck to all Floridians. Ian seems to be a powerhouse, so hope you are all safe.

Looks like quickjack is the best option here

wait would you only lift the rear of the car onto the ramps? you'll still face water damage on the front of the car, if so..

It's amazing how quickly pictures and videos of that car have been spreading. That's a pretty clear case of insurance fraud... or just gross negligence. The owner has several other high end vehicles (according to his instagram) and kept them all in his first floor garage of his water front home despite the very advanced warning of this hurricane. I find it hard to believe that someone who own's a vehicle at that price point can't find an elevated parking garage to move his high dollar vehicles.
