Time for a 911 !

Oh for sure, going from a log style to a tubular turbo manifold is and does make a world of difference. This is just the first time I've heard them called "equal length headers" -- this implies the lengths, which are a whole ten inches, are currently inequal and the new exhaust does some snaking to artificially lenghten one side to equalize them. It just stuck out to me since I don't think that either part of that statement is actually true.
those Fabspeed headers are definitely not equal length, although perhaps some other aftermarket examples are. People speculate the factory manifold has very different harmonic effects than a tubular manifold, so there can be more resonance at certain frequencies, especially with aftermarket mufflers that aren’t tuned to eliminate the drone as well as the factory PSE. Either way, I’m sure the factory manifold is built like a tank and offers longevity that aftermarket tubular headers won’t, and other advantages, like not costing $3000 and working just fine for most people who aren’t worried about a marginal increase in hp 😊

I had a base 991.2 and now have a 991.2 S. Upgraded brakes and horsepower from the base model make a difference on the track. For some reason market seems soft for the S version relative to other models. For a little more money you may be able to find an 991.2 S.

And I know I need to drive one, but tell me what you can put into words.

I didn’t do it
Hi guys , finally saw the 911 today . The car was far from the condition in the pics , extremely dirty , no floor mats , a horrible clear bra accross the middle of the hood , cigarette smell . I test drove it and I have to say that the feeling was not there , very far away from the sound in the 981gts- you sit much higher , I could clearly hear the sound of the turbo in every acceleration, it’s not slower but feels like it , and much less of that sport /track car feeling . I didn’t pull the trigger ;(
one of you said that it’s difficult to move from a gts to a base 911 from an interior point of view ,I thought that was not the case but I have to admit it was a big difference .
I will keep looking . Maybe i should stick to NA engines and look into a gt4 or gts 4.0
