I’ve had my car for two years now and thanks to this thread I’ve just discovered it has a sport response button.
Now I’m off to read that owner’s manual that came with it. 😂

I read a review recently in Excellence - I'll post it when I find it - where the author said in different words, the different modes change the engine torque output. I guess that happens thru different ECU mapping and or throttle response. So not more HP, but more torque and not just exhaust sounds.

Incorrect, and also this statement is contradictory. Drive modes do not increase power.
For clarification, horsepower is simply a calculation of torque X rpm / 5252. If you increase torque at a given RPM, the horsepower also increases.
The drive modes change the throttle mapping, sure. So your 50% throttle in Normal is like 75% throttle in Sport. That's not making any more power than just putting in 75% throttle in Normal mode, though, and 100% throttle in Normal is still 100% in Sport and Sport+ and Sport Response. No additional power is being made.
