Default Staggered Wheel setup on a narrow body 991.2?

I have a 991.2 Base 7MT that I'm doing some fun work on (Litchfeld KW HAS kit, DSC V3, Softronic, Litchfeld Solid Caster bushings, Numeric Shifter with link cables)

I was wondering if it makes any sense performance wise to go to a staggered wheel setup? I currently have 20" Carrera S wheels at all 4 corners but was considering going 20" up front and 21" in the rear. Aside from looks, is there any performance benefit?

The front and rear tire diameters need to have a similar ratio as the stock tires, someone can probably chime in with the specifics, but if you make one drastically different diameter it will cause issues with the traction control and drivetrain components (especially with AWD). I’m not sure if you can go to a 21” size in rear and maintain the same outer rolling diameter without the tires becoming rubber bands. Also, you’ll be possibly more limited in tire choices when looking for performance tires in these sizes.

There isn't a performance benefit, that's for sure.

Just make sure that if you do this, you keep the overall diameter the same, which as MingusDew said, may not be possible on the 991 as the sidewall profile on the rear 20's is already super thin.

I considered it as well since 992 have 20 in the front and 21 in the rear but ended up keeping the normal set up. 8.5 X 11, bc forged

Not a problem as long as the rolling diameter between the front and rear stay relatively the same.

High HP/TQ RWD cars benefit off of this for traction purposes.

Performance wise, it may benefit. Not exactly the same scenario but here's an interesting video.
