Default PCCB Question

Hi,
Can someone confirm if the factory PCCB's on a 991.1 narrow body are larger than the factory S steel brakes? Looking at getting new wheels and someone mentioned that not all wheels will clear the PCCB'S. Not sure if the rotors and/or calipers are different size. Thanks!

The rotors or calipers or both? Looking at the rotors the diameter appears to have plenty of space so I am wondering if the issue could be with the caliper clearance?

Very interesting. Those appear to be same size as S brakes which are 350mm front. That does not look like the larger rotor and caliper you see on the GT cars. I didn't realize there was a smaller PCCB option?

PCCBs for the 991.1 were 350mm front and back, the S brakes were 340mm front and 330mm rear.

On the 991.2, PCCBs were 410mm front and 390mm back. S were 350mm front and 330mm rear.

On my previous 991.1 S w/PCCBs, it came with OEM Carrera Classics. I would guess that OEM wheels would clear the PCCBs on 991.1s but not sure about after market.

For my 991.2 GTS with PCCBs, I had to work with the after market wheel manufacturer to make sure they fit PCCBs (first set did not, they had to redesign them to fit). But then again, the PCCBs on the 991.2 are freaking huge.

So the wheel manufacturer got back to me saying that they do not have brake measurements on file for 991.1 CCB Carrera S brakes. They only have the steel measurements as that is the common options on a non turbo trim level vehicle for them. They need the attached form filled out in order to determine if they can produce wheels to fit my car. Does anyone know if this information is already available or where I could get it? I could purchase some Vernier Calipers and measure them myself but I am not too comfortable doing so based on only having the pictures on the form. Thanks!

Hi sir hope you solved your wheel fitment problem. this is out of the topic but i just want to ask how is the wear on your pccb? i have a 991.1 c2s with pccb to, currently 63k km (39k miles). the rear rotors are showing the wear indicator very clearly and flakes has been coming off the circle. most of the disc is fine but there are some tiny chips coming off. I'm just wondering is my rotor done? the mileage is way lower than people saying unless the previous owner has tracked the car. but no prove. any info will be appreciated thanks

I can confirm that even the 19" base Carrera wheels will fit PCCB on the 991.1.

I have not had any issues with mine. I have 35K miles and do not track the car so they are holding up well with no wear issues.
