Default Looking for a Tire Gauge? Any Recommendations?

I'm looking for a tire air pressure gauge and there are so many out there on the market.

Any good recommendations?

watching this thread. I have gotten about 5 various kinds in the last 2 years and I am not sure any of them are accurate for longer than 3 months. None of them read the same as each other, or the TPMS. Finally just settled on one and know its variation from the TPMS so I can account for it....

I should just go back to what I used for racing.

I'm sure there are many. Picked up one of these for each vehicle after it was top rated by Autoweek Mag. and Consumer Reports. Reasonable price too:

I’ve had good luck with this one from HMS. It is the most accurate I have purchased. they also offer a few more expensive models, but I have not tried them.

Also watching this thread. I have a habit of rechecking pressure a few times in a row. Nothing bugs me more than inconsistent readings with consecutive rechecks.

You get what you pay for. If there is anything I hate in a tire pressure gauge (besides it being inaccurate) is a chuck that hisses air when placing it on the valve stem.

I bought a Longacre 0 - 60 psi Digital Tire Pressure Gauge some years ago. Zero complaints! Model LNG-50356.

I’m a fan of these mechanical gages. They have a peak pressure hold feature, and are pretty durable. Over time I’ve had the LCD digital ones crack/fade and stop working. So far no issues with these mechanical ones:

I’ve also been using this air compressor. Mostly gets used for my Tacoma when off-roading and I need to add air back to the tires after, but the hot/dusty conditions so far haven’t caused problems. Although the pump does get very hot, so be careful handling it after use. Works fine for the 911 and adjusting tire pressure.

the Longacre is good. have had one for many years after buying/returning 4-5 crappy digital one. a bit pricey for sure but you get what you pay for...accurate/consistent readings

I use old school and it’s always 100% spot on accurate.

I've been autocrossing for seven years so I probably use a tire gauge to measure my tire pressures more than most. Each run can increase the pressure by 3-5 pounds.

I've had this one for the last four years. This one is 0-40 PSI so you can really distinguish the pressure in smaller increments. Has been very reliable without any issues so far.

Longacre 3-1/2 Gauge 0-40

There are other options like 0-60 PSI if you need a larger range. Or a 2.5 inch dial to save a bit of money. There is also liquid filled options but as I understand it, it’s overkill for tire pressure.

Great share and very nice gauge. Will definitely be picking one up but 60 psi. Thanks again for sharing.
