Climate control hassle
I have a 2017 Macan GTS and a 2018 911 Turbo S. It's nice having all the controls and features work exactly the same as I move between the cars, with one notable exception.
When I shut down and later return to start the Macan, the Climate/HVAC settings always come back on exactly as I left them at the last use. But on the 911, they always revert to the same unwanted baseline, which happens to be AC off, temp 71, fan at 1 bar. Its really bugging me to be on a day of errands in the summer, and after every stop I have to turn the AC back on, and adjust the fan and temp.
So is there a way to set the controls to make the 911 behave like the Macan? I looked through the owners manual and all I found was that climate control settings can be included on the "driver 1/driver 2" stored settings. But setting the AC on and as I want it, then resetting the driver 1 memory didn't change the problem.

Yes you need to save your last settings. It's a check box in the carputer somewhere under HVAC settings.
Once you save them you can go back into the carputer and unselect the feature and your setting will remain.

You save it to your key, not driver 1 or 2. It's one of the entry+drive "features" that makes absolutely no sense.

Thank you! This was the solution, on my previous effort I had pushed save to Driver 1, not realizing that doesn't include saving climate controls. Saving to the key button on the driver door did the trick : )

i agree. Seat 1 and seat 2 and that key button together make no sense. Between the HVAC and the gauges I want and which key the car first sees when my wife and I are in the Carrera, getting things sorted took a long time.
