Lego 911

Lego 911
My kids bought me a Lego 911 a few months ago and I just haven't made the time to start it. Well after taking multiple drives in my car today I felt motivated to get my hands on this Lego and begin. I have to assume there are a few Lego fans here in this forum and several of you probably already have made this same one. I'll chip away at it for an hour here and there, probably get my kids involved also.

There are plenty of licences Lego kits with Porsche now. My personal favourite is the original GT3 RS. Attention to detail is incredible, it includes rotating engine components and functioning forward and reverse gear selection. You can buy electric motors and light kits online.

My son built this one a few months back. He was able to find an enhancement kit off of eBay to make it a wide body Turbo Targa rather than the narrow body. It looks great and a great kit. Have fun!

I have only assembled one, but have a decent collection of unopened limited edition Porsche Lego sets. After missing out on the orange GT3RS, we make sure we buy a couple of nearly every set that comes out now. Once I finish my new office shelves, I will assemble a few of the cars for proper display ;-).

Looks a bit smaller than I would have expected. What was your take on it?
