Are y'all seeing the AA gps working/showing in the interactive gauge behind steering wheel? Haven't gotten that to work like it works for non-AA.

 

I have not, nor have I see it while scrolling through the myriad option screens for the MFD.

Does it do it for Apple Car Play?

 

I only used wired carplay couple times on the car and don't have iphone to currently verify.

Did some research and only the standard Porsche nav will show on the MFD. Would of loved that, guess that's the trade off for using carplay/AA.

Oh well.

Just arrived today and worked flawlessly!!! So nice to have AA in the car!

2017 CS4 991.2 and Pixel 4a.

 

I assume this doesn't work with pcm 3.1? (991.1)

 

From my understanding it works with any PCM that has Apple Car Play. It launches Car Play then you connect with your phone via Bluetooth. I could be wrong.

Buy and try it. Amazon has a great return policy.

 

I just picked up another one of these (u2-x) for 109 bucks on amazon except it is the pro version. Best bang 4 buck mod ever. Be warned that it works great but is aggressive .

 

My U2-X with the most recent firmware has been having issues for months. Resetting regularly (including restarting the USB hub in the car - causing it to re-catalog the music on my USB drive). This weekend it died all-together in 104F heat...would not reconnect until it cooled down.

I just swapped it for a U2X-Pro. We'll see how this goes.

 

I do think the heat effects them... Mine in the armrest, with a black interior, and black covertible top, and it's been pretty hot the last couple weeks. Mine occasionally acts up, where I need to unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in before he finally relents and acts normal. I have a Pro, with an updated firmware (from a couple months ago, I haven't checked lately, but plan to this weekend.)

That said, I do have a Pixel 6 Pro, which gets updates frequently and I wonder if the AA code gets tweaked now and then causing some issues. I've noticed restarting my phone in the mornings seems to help...

 

Update: Have used this for a few months now. It is glitchy - sometimes takes minutes not seconds to ramp up and engage. Sometimes have to unplug and re-plug the device to prompt it. Therefore, kind of a pain around town if you are starting and stopping the car. For long road trips, once you get it operating properly, it works well. Not a perfect solution by any means but it is better than nothing.

 

In the 991.2 Is there anyway to reassign apple car play to the USB in the glove box?
