Default 991.1 Folding mirrors

Has anyone here noticed that the two mirrors don’t fold the same way? In my car the driver side mirror folds a bit less than the passenger mirror when folding. It seems to remain a bit more open then the other one.
The difference is minimal but noticeable. Is it just my car?
Thanks!

They should fold in in exactly the same way I think. One thing I did notice not just on my Macan but also on a rental one is that the mirrors fold at different speeds.

The driver’s side mirror is slightly longer than the passenger’s side mirror. They’re not identical. This could explain what you’re seeing.

On second thought, maybe the passenger’s side mirror is longer. I can’t remember which is longer, but they’re not the same.

People, please. Do not allow my OCD self take my key fob and head to the garage with a micrometer, camera, and a note book to begin a series of measurements on my mirrors.
I could make a custom cut, Hi-Vis (crash dummy inspired) millimeter template to insert between the folded mirror expected stop location and the door glass. Come to think of it, I could do a series of tests with incandescent lighting and a second with LED.

Do you think humidity or temperature could potentially play with my findings? well, crap. Give me a second . . . .

Damn I wish I never read this. My mirrors were just fine. Until now...

Ok, So the driver's mirror does, in fact, close slightly less (in appearance) than the passenger's mirror by about 5-10 degrees.

I can't un-see them now . .
Now what do I do??
