Default Cleaning the oxygen sensors while they're out?

I'm in the process of installing a Soul Turboback exhaust and have just removed the oxygen sensors from the catalytic converter assemblies. The instructions say not to touch the oxygen sensors and get hand oil on them. I tried my best to avoid touching the part of the sensor that's inside the assembly. Even if I had touched them, I doubt it would have transferred anything to the sensor seeing how soot-covered the sensors are, especially the one in front of the converter.

Would you recommend cleaning the sensors before reinstalling them?

Interesting questions. At $200 a pop, I might not mess with the sensor. But I'd be curious to hear what other people say. How many miles are on your current sensors?

11,000 miles. I’m inclined to not mess with them but thought it worth the ask.

Don't mess with cleaning them. They're very sensitive. It may look terrible and dirty, but that's the way they look. Either at 11k miles or 111k miles.

2nd + 3rd, the solvents you use to clean them could contaminate them. In non modified cars o2's should run out to 100k miles pretty easily.
