Pull out key if it’s removable and then just pry around the trim and it will pop out. The trim is not secured by any fasteners-once out you will see how the ignition itself can be removed.

This helped me get my headlight switch out. It will help remove the cover and get access

Thanks - I'm really just trying to replace the key switch thing, not sure what it's called. The trim needs to be removed to get it out? It looks like it's out already in all of those instructions.

^^^^^ Ha. You learn something new each day. Still new to the 991 space and didn't know this. My head was that the key was stuck in the ignition and they wanted to remove the entire assembly. Good post Live Stream. This is a great place

Turn the dummy key to "run" without your keyfob in the car. Then turn to "off" and it pulls right out.

Thats actually good to know if you step away for an extended vacation and have your car in the garage. Makes it a little harder for some to do a signal repeater booster attack.
