Default Ticking / Clicking noise while driving

I'm experiencing a clicking/ticking noise while driving at a constant speed above 25 MPH (even on highway speed) when I take foot off or push accelerator noise disappears. The noise appears louder and more frequent. I'm also getting a rough idle at times and car is not running too smooth. Can this be the fuel pump inside gas tank? I replaced the high pressure fuel pump two years ago. If you have had a similar issue please provide details.

Possibly check the limited slip differential. ..

Default Bad Coil Pack Symptoms

What are symptoms of a bad coil pack? Can it produce clicking noise while driving?

A bad coil pack will cause rough idle and misfires, usually (but not always) accompanied with a check engine light and latched code.

My 991 has ticking starting cold. It goes away when the car warms up. Never have figured it out. Porsche doesn’t seem too worried either. My car runs perfectly.

Change speed/frequency with engine RPM? How about road speed?

The ticking starts when it warms up. At cold start no ticking for a few minutes

Usually starts ticking clicking around 25 MPH and higher speed, cruising same speed or very slowly increasing speed, if I give it a little gas the noise disappears. Doesn't happen all the time but I am starting to hear it more often

Active faults don’t necessarily cause check engine lights. Get a scanner and plug it into the OBDII port. You can borrow one from most auto parts stores.

Is there a decent scanner made for Porsche that is user friendly?
