Default What are these crease lines on the front bumper of 991.2 cars for?

I was wondering what these 2 crease lines are used for on 991.2 (circled in red)? They are not present on 991.1 (except the Turbos).
I guess they must fulfill an aero function?

I think it is a combination of a little aero and mostly esthetics.

And, for reference, they carry through to the back as well.

Yeah, that was one of the exterior design changes from .1 to .2. The front and rear turning signal lights were also streamlined and the door pull no longer had a surrounding piece of plastic in the 991.2. That is a subtle, but in my eyes, marked improvement from the 991.1

One other change that gets little to no "press" is the change in the rearview mirror. I much prefer the rounded, more "teardrop"-like appearance of the rearview mirror in the 991.1 versus the rectangular, much more utilitarian rear view mirror in the 991.2. If it were an easy DIY, I would swap out the 991.2 rear view mirror for a 991.1 rear view mirror for my GT3.

With the benefit of hindsight, perhaps those lines were a foreshadowing of the 992 and return of the "long hood" design? The lines follow the lines of the frunk lid.

I would say that those crease lines on the front bumper of the 991.2 have the visual effect of making the nose of the car appear longer especially from the front view shown

The 991.1 front end looks a bit blunt compared to the sharper, and more sporty looking 991.2

Those lines always catch the light in my garage and for a split second I think there's a dent or something wrong
