I'm sure that you know that the button lit up is the PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust).

My understanding is that most cars have the valve system that comes on at WOT, as in valves open ONLY on WOT and under some circumstances.

This might apply to some cars or all, Having PSE or that button means you can turn on Sports exhaust (or open valves) upon command.

hope this helps

It's for when you're using a trailer with tandem axles and extra wide wheels.

The standard exhaust that comes with S models is valved. Get under your car and you'll see a valve on each side of the S exhaust center muffler. They are controlled automatically, and open above certain RPM levels, depending on mode. They also open at startup.

This is not the same as the PSE, which can be forced open with the console switch, and which sounds different as well. There is apparently also programming that creates additional pops and crackles.

I'm looking at a 991.1 C2S. It does have PSE (code 176) as an option. But the exhaust button is there.
Can you control the valve on standard exhaust?
Also one button is for the exhaust. What is the other?
Thanks.

the other button is for the powered sun screen to cover the "glass" Sunroof.
Anytime you see that button, means the car has "sunroof in glass" with black roof instead of body color roof and metal roof.

If you have a valved exhaust (non pSE) I dont see why you cant have a tune like Softronic and have them activate it 100% of time. This way for one Mod investment, you can have both a Tune and PSE benefits (plus crackles and bangs if you like such a thing)

Worth contacting Softronic over and asking...
