991.2 cat back exhaust choices (especially for CA owners). What did you get?
Looking to do something about the exhaust on my 991.2 C2. Does not have PSE so it's a bit quiet. I've been reading a lot about different choices and companies, but given CA's heavily restrictive approach to smog checks including ridiculous visual inspections (sigh), I'm erring on the side of not changing the cats, but just doing the cat back.
What choices have you all made with this? I've looked at Soul and Sharkwerks and they seem to sound pretty great. I don't want obnoxiously loud or any kind of droning...so would love your thoughts on what you went with and why? Specifically looking for opinions on cat back only. Vendor comments welcome also.

ZERO drone with my sharkwerks for base 991.2. Just pulled mine off to sell the car if you're interested!
full exhaust seems not popular on 991.2. For some sound/performance gain, Soul sport headers/sport cats are decent options. Cats will not pass CA smog but headers are not issue.

How was cold start volume increase, and overall volume increase around town and on the freeway? Could you take a stab at % change in each area? No worries if no!

I'd say Cold Start volume increased by 33% if you do a normal start. Increase by 40% if you start the car in Sport.
The tone while cold starting is a tad meaner too. With the car stock, the cold start feels restrained - almost like a wolf dog hybrid of a generations of breeding. Still looks mean, but will come over and give you a good lick. With the exhaust its devolved back into a wolf thats ready to bite.
I have exact same setup. Soul headers + cats and my PSE button is always on by default so it's quite nice and loud.
It's nicely priced for reasonable power + sound gain.
Just installed the Sharkwerks exhaust - nicely louder, sounds like a proper Porsche now lol. More turbo whistle, sounds angrier, no drone. But also quiet enough if youre going slow. Love it!
