991.2 TTS to 991.1 C2S - you crazy? Nope... its done
So for the past 3 years I've had a TTS. Beautiful build, great condition car. Only problem, I found it boring. Too fast to wind out, PDK amazing, but boring, so when I was able to sell it for more than I paid, it was gone.
Then I found the perfect build C2S for me, manual of course.... she will be a keeper. 2014 C2S, 15K miles. Build sheet and some pics.
Beautiful car and although 991.2 TTS is a monster, I expect your reasoning from moving back to an N/A Manual was similar to mine.
At the end of the day, the word future classic gets thrown around all the time, and it has a different meaning for everyone.
When we are further down the road of electric and turbo cars, these few and far between N/A Manuals will be the most pure things remaining ( to old and slow folks like me) and a trim or model doesn't have to double in price or win some award for it to be included in the "future classic" genre. Its all how we the lucky owners see and enjoy them
forgot to add, Amazing Build!

Great move! I'm biased, but I'd take a 991.1 NA MT over any turbo variant. The reality is even a 3.4 base model is way too fast for most streets. All that would make these cars 'perfect' would be more aggressive gearing. It'd be nice to hit redline in 2nd at closer to 60 mph.

That’s the only real complaint about my .1C2S. At redline it’s 72-74 mph grabbing 3rd gear and 112-115ish shifting 3rd to 4th. 3rd is a huge gear. Would be nice to shorten them up a bit.

it can be done and I plan on doing it eventually. Getting a shorter ratio box, like the aftermarket choice for GT4, will right away make the car a lot more fun not to mention Fast.
Its won't be cheap but won't be same as dropping a stroker 4.5L from Deman
Thanks all. Yes, N/A manual is a must! I recently picked up an E46 M3 manual of course; had one when I was much younger... lots of fun.
Unfortunately lots of snow here and cold.... the new car will rest for a bit, but looking forward to driving it. This one is a keeper! Slick top pretty cool. I wouldn't call it a "light build" with all the options but I love me a slick top. Not a sunroof guy.
Love it!! I think the 991.1 will be an amazing car to keep for the long haul. Enjoy and I love that set up.
I agree with your comments of boring when a car becomes too fast. You lose the enjoyment and thrill of driving it as it over 100mph and you just get off the line. Only really use 2 gears and spend most of time checking your radar detector.
Man, I get that too. I *really* miss a manual transmission. Sometimes I think I'm going to buy a 7MT Targa or GTS4 just to scratch that itch. I can't give up the TTS, but I'm always going to wish for the 7MT so I fully understand your choice.

TBH If I the offer the wasn't so high on the TTS, I would have kept it, well b/c its a TTS! But values are so crazy and between kids, racing etc. it rarely was driven. I have other manual so getting the 991 was more that I loved the build, NA, manual and of course I have a weak spot for cars.
