Default Possible to put 991.2 Sport Chrono Clock in 991.1?

Is it possible to put a 991.2 Sport Chrono clock or any other newer model's clock in a 991.1?

My 2014 991.1 has the Sport Chrono package but I need to replace the dead clock.

I've had both, are there really any materially noticeable differences between .1 and .2?

Should be the same. I did a retro fit Sport Chrono clock in my 2014 981 (same as 991.1 clock) and bought a clock from a 2020 718 GT4 (same clock used in 991.2) and it fit and worked properly. I did a lot of research when i bought mine and there can be differences in the color of the second hand based on the year and model. It can be red/orange or white.

I suspect he has a line on one from a .2 and wants to see if it will work.
