Default HOW TO DIY 40K MILE SERVICE ON YOUR PORSCHE 911 | 991 OIL CHANGE, FILERS, SPARK PLUG

New Year, time to plan for some projects! Just wrapped this for my 991.1 and wanted to share this video in case others find it helpful. In this episode I walk you through everything you need to purchase and how to perform the 40k mile service yourself on your Porsche 911 (991.1 specifically). Doing this service yourself is a lot easier than you think and can save you thousands. I cover each step in detail so all you have to do is follow along.

@andrewgldn just watched your video. Great job. Keep doing it. Following your initiatives on Youtube and Instagram. I have 991.1 C2S `12 and currently fighting through with the Soul Exhaust and PSE button. I'm kinda like the 50th-anniversary edition look and thinking go with Candian company for wheels that someone suggested in the comments to your review for Titan wheels.
I have the same dents on the rear fender as yours. Did you manage to fix them? I think it is not an easy task and lots of guys will appreciate any tips for that matter.

Thanks so much for following the channel. I really appreciate that! I have a great pointless dent repair guy here locally. In fact, in the next couple weeks I'll be posting a video on YouTube about the process and how it works that I filmed when I had mine removed. So, stay tuned to the YouTube channel!

Ha! Well hopefully I made it look easy enough that you'll give it a shot!

Andrew, I'm curious if you had any issue with the two top openings on the airbox rubbing against the BMC filters. I test fit the stock BMC air filters from my GT3RS and the lock in clips of the two rectangular tops were rubbing against it. The corner lips of the BMC filter are much thicker than the stock air filters. I'm curious if the non-OEM Porsche BMC filters are designed differently. I ultimately cut off the clips on the tops and glued them on so they'll be snug. The tops are sold separately by the dealer if I ever need to replace them for any reason.

I didn't have this issue. They fit perfectly out of the box. I assume that the 991.1 Carrera S BMC filters must be a slightly different size than the ones from your GT3RS. Or maybe the 991.1 S airbox is different.

I did this service last summer myself @ 24K miles and always wondered if I should have also replaced the Coilpacks. Still bothers me that I didnt

Good video tutorial for anyone to follow and DIY.. more than the $$$$ saved, doing it yourself (Read doing it slow and correctly, with care) is priceless

I mean, I wouldn't call dent repair pointless. I find it quite useful.
