Default Adding the 3rd radiator.

In the process of ordering the OEM Porsche 3rd. radiator for my 2012.5 and wondering if anyone knows of anyone that make a screen that protects it from rocks, etc. Thanks for the help and Merry Christmas to all of you!

A friend has used Zunsport for a few of his Porsches and recommends them highly.

Installed the 3 Zunsport grilles on my 911.2 C4S. One of the outside grilles was misshapened and fit wasn't exact. Zunsport was unhelpful in dealing with the issue and provided no relief. Had to bend the grill to approximate a proper fit. Cannot recommend them.

Sorry and surprised to hear about your very poor experience with Zunsport. Everything I’ve read about them has been positive I believe, plus the experiences shared by my friend. I’m hoping that my experience is good! I am about to order a pair for my 991.2 Carrera T manual.

The Radiator Grill Store's (A Rennlist sponsor I believe) radiator protectors are made of a rugged plastic weave and comes with pre-threaded ZIP locks. Their complete kits, all three (3) radiators are cheap.

ZUNSPORT is from the U.K., I believe and their's are stainless steel weave, powder coated black. They are considerably more expensive. But probably more rugged.

Rennline makes good stuff too.

I'm moving to Houston in July and want the car to run as cool as possible. Plus the center 3rd radiator is only $675/shipped and the local Porsche dealer here in WI will install it for 4 hours labor (another $500). I figured why not.

That is crazy cheap dealer labor. I’m fairly certain mine is at $205.

I don’t understand this either. I ordered the wrong grill, for a 992, and once received I got the right one. I only had to pay for shipping back,

I had the same issue with mine. I ordered the wrong ones and they were very helpful in doing the exchange. Quality wise they are very nice!

I live in the Houston area, unless you are going to track the car, in the heat of summer, the 991 has no issues keeping itself cool within the designed parameters.....at least mine doesn't.....

On a hot, hot day (There have been a few of those in Houston I can guess), what temps do you see? As we know the 991 cars run cooler in the Sport mode as opposed to Normal. Lacking a front radiator on my former 991.1, I saw oil temps of 270 degrees F. At that point I exited the track. Next event I had a center radiator....hottest I saw was 250...mo betah!!!

I do agree, no track, a center radiator isn't necessary.
