hi
It would be fantastic if someone could create a one-piece assembly that combines the engine lid with the ducktail.turkish citizenship

Looks good. It'll be one hell of an air brake if you ever hit that 155mph mark
Glad it worked out. The ducktail will be something highly sought after when these are classics. I have a feeling Porsche won't bring it back as an option and keep it for low production editions.

Hi BlueShell,
the fit and finish is pretty good. I had to do a small sending here and there, but nothing crazy. Took some time to properly place it on acti
ve spoiler brackets to make sure it's centered.
Here a few pictures. Also put a new wheels on. Next step is to install lowering springs :-)

Hi Desmotesta,
the programming wizard was just guy from local tuning shop who has the professional car tuning OBDII scanner. He just simply went to car menu and changed the setting of driving speed when the spoiler deploys to max value.

Since the oem duck is not available the next best option to my knowledge is this
https://www.9xxteile.com/en/ducktail...mk1-acc911001p
Which appears to be made from a mold as the oem.
then you need the oem mounting plate here
https://www.9xxteile.com/en/support-...design-package
and the 3rd brake light harness
https://www.9xxteile.com/en/rear-wir...design-package
———
this is about the price I paid (pre Covid) for OEM kit, but this appears to be the best option since the oem kits are nearly impossible to come by.

So if i have this right ... the car needs to be programmed to remove the active spoiler either way.
My question stil liies with the mounting situation between OEM and aftermarket ducktails. Would this resolve my issue of not replacing the rear spoiler spring mechanism?

I haven't read the whole thread but in a nut shell, yes you have to have the wing reprogrammed not to activate. You will need to remove the whole OEM wing and everything attached to it and replace it with the aftermarket ducktail. Mine just attached on the ends and then in the middle (where the duck tail rear light is mounted) It's super simple to be honest! Hardest part is getting everything to look OEM so be sure to use a decent body shop!

When you go ducktail there is a new base that replaces (deletes) the spoiler motor/springs.
