So, i'm guessing that the mirror (glass) is the same size on both mirrors OEM and "Sport design mirrors". I ask because i'm thinking about making the swap BUT I have replaced the OEM mirror (glass) with euro mirrors and I want to make sure that the euro mirror will fit in the "Sport design mirror" assembly.

No AERO/Sport mirrors have different glass than the standard mirror.

I sourced aspherical mirrors for my sport mirrors from europe, so you can def find them.

sounds a bit like a very slight convex "spotter" type glass, giving the driver a more panoramic view, maybe????

My glass from eBay has the convex on the driver side but I never use it. I’m not used to it. I added the blind spot round thingy afterward

Good to know the glass is different.

What about the internals? I've seen several sets of mirror housings on eBay with no internal motors/wiring. Could I get a set of those, plus the correct mirrors and use my existing internal wiring and motors?

I can’t answer that question cuz I never tried transferring my internals. But chances they are the same.

I can't speak of the wiring and internals, BUT i went this route of buying housings off of ebay. I learned once I got them that there are a bunch of brackets, mirrors, fasteners etc that are also needed. I ended up buying the complete kits as they were cheaper than buying all those parts separately. I ended up selling my housings, spare motors and harnesses (the kit gives two sets for memory and non memory mirrors).

The kit also comes with dimming mirrors if you opt for that option. Those parts alone retail for $500+ which make no sense when the kit is available for like $650.
