All that matters is if YOU like it.

I did it to my white 991C2S and I liked it. The stock one's were turning yellow and it gave it a retro look.

+1 on the retro look. Had them on my guards red 87. If my current car wasn't already black, i'd have a pair on it as well.

I think it'll look nice on the blue. Also consider painting/coating the headlight washers black and maybe ceramic coat the tail pipes black to complete the look. Oh, you'll need to do the chrome lettering on the back too.

I was thinking of doing the same but in Satin Grey/Silver on my white 991.2 to match the wheels.

If you already feel it might look "rice" then you probably won't like it. I have never bought something that I really liked where I needed to ask someone what they thought.

I thought of purchasing this and I checked out the reviews on this item. Supposed to be very thin offering very little protection. The thicker stock clear film is supposed to be removed before installing this. I can't understand why it can't be applied over the stock clear film using the clear one as a guide and giving you more protection, but this caveat made me decide not to purchase it.

Something is needed on the rears. With 991 in wider variants it will likely be more of an issue with chipping. The factory clear pieces are too small and you will have lots of chipping and sand blasting around the PPF.

I just have what's stock on my 991 WB. I'd probably replace it with like material if ever needed.

If you're looking for some kind of aesthetic change, as mentioned above, that's 100% on you to decide. Don't base your choices on the opinions of others.

I purchased a magnetic set from Magnagrafik.com. Even though I have Paint Protection Film in that area, the PPF was getting the hell beat out of it.
Yes, the PPF was doing what it was there for, yet I would probably have to replace the entire panel sooner due to that area, and I thought these magnetic one would be easy to put on and take off as needed. They work great and "stick" well even over the PPF - even at highway speeds. I take them off when washing and detailing the car, slap them back on when needed.
