$100k to spend

I would think the standard 911 would be "quicker" to get than a GT car.
Stop bye Porsche of the Main Line and talk to Jesse.
If you think about it, all used cars are at a premium. If you're able to purchase a new car for no mark-up, it might be worthwhile getting the new.
TBH, if I were getting a PDK car, I'd more than likely go 992. I'd have to step up to a 992S to get a manual and the price increase is pretty substantial.

I would wait it out or spec a new one and wait for it to arrive, here's a bit of madness from my local dealer.

They offered me $100k for my 2018 Carrera T with 10,700 miles and a $117k sticker. I would be interested to see what they would have ended up listing it for...

Last time I did a T search I think the lowest in the US was 115. Just flat out insane.
OP,
I paid 120 for a 168k MSRP CPO 8k mile GTS last fall. People thought I was nuts. C2S were 90-105 and GTS was 98-115. I think its a poor time to buy right now. Even if you overpay for the 991 right now they never drop to zero, but I wouldnt buy ESPECIALLY if you're anywhere but florida since you cant drive it for a few months.

I paid $100k for my '15 C4S 991.1 cab with 22k miles and loaded with options ($145k original sticker) in August. Felt like I was overpaying by around 10k but looking at prices now, they don't seem to have changed much here in the Northeast.

Thanks for all the suggestions including auto tempest, etc. I cannot find a decently equipped 2018 base Carerra for under $ 100 K. I will sit on the sidelines and see what happens in the Spring. Driving my Mercedes Sl 450 for a few more months is not too much of a hardship

OK, give a first time buyer some help as well please. Why is a 2019 with less than 20,000 miles not a CPO and yet a 2016 is a CPO?

Here is my opinion- on the late model cars, they keep the price a bit lower by just giving you the balance of the factory warranty. CPO'ing adds $3-4K to the price and you won't need it for several years. Good luck

I have a 2019 Carrera T for sale in classifieds for 106k. 4500 miles. Because it's been a few weeks and the car is still with me, and I don't really want to sell it, Im thinking of raising price to 110k as opposed to lowering it.

I just traded in a near-perfect spec, low-mile 991.2 C2S manual with nearly 2.5 years left on CPO warranty in late October. I was offered $105k on it; I bought the car October 2020 for $103k.
They turned around and listed it for $127k.
For what it's worth it is gone now, I saw the price did drop down to 122k but I'm not sure what it actually sold for. I'd have to assume somewhere around there.
As for the reason I traded it in, I'm on the list for a 992 GTS and preferred to have a brand new Audi RS5 to hold me over as a DD until it comes in. My local dealer says it should take roughly 12-15 months to get the car delivered; I'm hoping to have an allocation by this spring. Allocations are very tight right now; and from what I hear it's even harder to find one for a base or an S. Porsche USA makes far more money per unit on the GTS cars, so from the rumor mill it makes more sense to provide more allocations for those. Also, many dealers (some would tell you most dealers...) are asking for ADM (i.e., markups) anywhere from $5-$50k over MSRP for new, non-GT cars. Rumor has it this is more prevalent on the west coast but rumors and reality are all over the place right now...
As you can see, this lack of availability has made used car prices completely insane, and this carries forward with the 992, for even 2020s with decent miles on them going for at or near MSRP; 2021s listed over MSRP in many cases.
Don't even look at the GT3 market...
Just not a good time to buy right now, unless you're very patient AND lucky/have great connections.
