Purchase 991.1 Carrera 4S with 105 633 mi mileage
Hello everyone!
I have a story - my friend sells 991.1 Carrera 4S 2014 with 170,000 km / 105 633 mi mileage. He bought it in mid-July 2020 from a Porsche dealer with 115,000 km / 71 457 mi of mileage. It was possible to put the car on the warranty, but he did not . He says that before buying he checked the engine with an endoscope and everything was fine. I want to buy this car, the price is lower than the market price. But some nuances excite me, and they are:
My friend tells that at the moment the engine is in normal condition and there are no complaints about it. Technically, the car is fully functional.
Could you please tell me what you think about this - is it worth buying such a car and if it is, then what can I expect in the near future?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
P.S. Sorry for my bad English.

- He drove on the track 5-6 times (he says that he changed the oil after every track day)
- 5 times drove at the drag races (changed the oil after races)
- He ran into a large stone on the road and broke the pallet of the transmission, which caused the expensive sensor to break. Replaced the transmission with the same only from a Turbo S with a mileage of 30,000 km / 18 641 mi.
- Traveled off 50,000 km / 31 068 mi in 16 months. Almost all mileage on intercity roads.
- On the roads, the rear left lamp has taken off. The mount needs to be repaired.
- The front bumper lip needs repair.
- He changed the interior from black to red-black and now the interior design is not original, the design is not for everybody.
- He drives the car actively, does not hesitate to press the gas.

Well, if you purchase this car "just" because it's being offered under market you have to be prepared for the day when you decide to sell/trade. Your potential buyers will be thinking the same things you are, just sayin. My question to you is why do you want THIS car (other than price)????

Surely for 50.000€, you can find a better sorted car (not necessarily a 991)... If you buy it, put a hefty repair fund in the bank to draw from.

What color is the car? Does the new interior look good?
If you like the car spend the money on a bumper to bumper inspection
I have a high optioned, high mileage 2013 C4S and even with prices where they are the car is only worth $35 - $40 K

I suspect that you may not remain friends if you buy this car.

Sheesh. How many miles on your C4S? I've never seen any 991 priced that low.

no way would i buy a high mileage 911 that i know has been driven hard. yes, the friend seems to have done a good job taking care of it but it's still a high mileage 911 that's been driven hard.

In our market now such offers are up to 100,000 USD:
I want to buy this 911 for four reasons:
1. I like this car.
2. The difference with the market price is not small.
3. I buy from a friend it's more comfortable to make a deal.
4. There is a possibility that he will still be able to drop the price.
- EU 991.1 PDK carrera 4, 2013, 33 000 km / 20 505 mi, color gray - 85 000 USD
- EU 991.1 PDK Carrera 4S, 2013, 51 000 km / 31689 mi, color dark blue - 89 000 USD
- EU 991.1 PDK Carrera 4, 2013, 57 000 km / 35 418 mi, color white, 75 900 USD
- USA Copart, repaired 991.2 MT Carrera 4, 2017, 32 000 km / 19 883 mi, color black, 70 000 USD

911s are supposed to be driven hard. they are made to be driven hard.
track time does not equal abuse. wear items wear.

How well do you know this friend? I know my friends would tell me not to buy a car if it were a lemon. How much does a 991.1 S in good condition sell for vs the one you are considering? Let's see some pictures!
