Default What a difference 10 degrees make!

Every year I’m amazed by how alive the 991.1 feels when the temperature drops even just by 10 degrees. Suddenly there is a low to mid rpm eagerness that is never there during the summer.

While most of the country goes into hibernation we Floridians start enjoying the crisp air of a mid 60s morning.

If we only had a few mountains around …. 😁

I’ve owned a few high hp turbo 6s. I like the torque being there from dawn to dusk, but how a NA engine builds is a thing of beauty.

Engines, particularly naturally asperated ones, love cool/cold, dense air. It gives more bang for the buck.

New Orleans is even more extreme than Florida. With our current cold front we have 45% humidity and temps in the low 60's. My 991.2 with turbos feels much more responsive. Compare this to our long 5 month hot season of +80% humidity and temps in the upper 90s.

when it drops below 60F we consider it "freezing" out. haha.

(to be fair, that's a 60+ degree drop from the highs of just a few months prior.)

Looks like a frozen lake - lots of fun! I used to live in Michigan.

I decided to leave mine at home today, -12 C this morning and we had a bit of snow the other day, so my driveway has a decent layer of ice build up. Have never driven it at this cold of a temp, but it would be great to feel that difference.

couldn't agree more. cool/dense air can really make a difference (3.8 NA). been noticing this myself in the past few weeks. wish my P Zero's would jump on the "i love cooler weather" bandwagon too =).
