Default 991 GTS Aero Kit Wing Question

Hi Everyone:

I'm interested in adding the Aero Kit Wing to my 2015 GTS and I read about conflicting information whether you need to replace the rear back engine grill with the older large slat cover.

Suncoast says yes but some posters have said no. Has anybody experienced this?

Does anyone of you have photos they can share?

Thanks.

No, unless you’re replacing the decklid to install a GT3 spoiler you’re fine.

There are at least a couple of members here who either have a ducktail or aerokit spoiler with GTS black grill. I also thought, like you, that since Porsche only shipped 991.1 GTS cars with regular colored lobster-back grill when cars were equipped with ducktail/aerokit.. but many members disproved that theory.
You can keep searching for pics but if you need to order parts, you should go ahead.

The aero spoiler has a 3rd brake light built into it, so the 3rd brake light in your current black engine grille will look a bit odd, especially since it will be disconnected. The factory aero grille has no 3rd brake light.

I too am interested in seeing pictures of the aero kit tail installed. I've seen duck tails and really don't like the look. Very interested in the aero kit tail for my GTS.

You can retain the original black grill, and yes it does have the light which you can either disconnect or keep connected as I have done mine both ways - currently Ihave both connected.

If I might ask, where did you source your aerokit wing from?

Suncoast, and I had it installed by a local independent.
That’s quite the tire grip in your avatar!
